Microdermabrasion
A
new breakthrough technology in microdermabrasion skin resurfacing
has just been acquired exclusively at Premier Plastic Surgery Center in Matthews. Previous microdermabrasion technology involved the
high-speed propulsion of sandy crystals composed of aluminum oxide
against the skin (i.e. "microsandblasting"). Medical
controversy is rising regarding the safety of inhaling aluminum
oxide dust. In contrast, our NewApeel system utilizing the
DiamondTone Wand, is a revolutionary new approach to removing dead
skin and eliminating superficial blemishes resulting from aging,
acne, injury, scarring, or prolonged exposure to the sun without the
risks associated with aluminum oxide dust inhalation. The results

feel.
This
technology was released approximately two years ago in Germany and
then in California. Most of the Hollywood stars have now turned away

Removal
of hair from the body via waxing is an alternative to permanent hair
removal or electrolysis. Waxing causes the new growth to be less
dense and decreases the need for frequent shaving which is messy and
can be painful! Shaving can cause ingrown hairs and painful bumps.
The waxed hair is removed by the root and not merely clipped or
shaved at the skins surface. New growth is dependent on each
individual person, but after waxing new growth usually doesn’t
appear for three to four weeks. After shaving, new growth can appear
within a day. After a complete facial waxing, the application of
your make-up is much smoother. Make-up is not being applied over the
facial hair which gives it the appearance of being heavy or caked.
Different
waxes can be used depending upon each individual skin type and
needs. Minor irritation and redness can occur immediately preceding
a waxing. Should this occur, tell your health care professional so
steps can be taken to prevent any discomfort.
